On June 30, Warriors beat reporter Tim Kawakami wrote about the team’s pursuit of Clippers player Paul George.
According to Kawakami, after several rounds of serious negotiations, the Warriors at one stage thought they were on the verge of trading for George. It was reported that they were willing to offer him a four-year max contract.
George himself had a strong desire to join the Warriors, and both Curry and Draymond Green expressed their support. However, the Clippers turned down all trade proposals, including ones involving Wiggins, Paul, Kuminga, as well as Moody and future first-round picks. Now that George is a free agent, the Warriors’ pursuit is essentially over.
Warriors believed they had George deal at one point, but Clippers rejected all trade scenarios involving Kuminga and more. Author:Sports UEFA.Please indicate the source when reproduced:https://www.sportsuefa.com/basketball-headlines/16231.html
