NBA legend Tony Parker posted a message regarding the retirement of his national team jersey by the French men’s basketball team.
Tony Parker wrote:
“On the eve of my jersey being retired from the French team, I wanted to say a few words. Winning four NBA championships with the San Antonio Spurs was an incredibly proud moment for me. Despite these successes, I always wanted to shine a light on French basketball. Every summer, after the NBA season, I would return to play with the French team, proudly wearing our jersey. In 2013, we achieved our dream by winning the first and only championship for the French team, which is an unforgettable memory. In 2019, I was honored to have my jersey retired by the Spurs, and in 2023, I was inducted into the Hall of Fame, the Pantheon of basketball. Tomorrow, it’s my French national team jersey’s turn to be retired. I’m very excited about tomorrow and want to share this moment with you. Thank you for your consistent support throughout my career. See you tomorrow.”
