CBA Official Announcement: Zhou Qi and Chen Yingjun Complete Registration, Officially Join Beijing Men’s Basketball Team

On August 27, the CBA officially announced that Zhou Qi and Chen Yingjun have completed their registration and officially joined the Beijing men’s basketball team.

In the 2023-24 season, Zhou Qi played 28 regular-season games for the Guangdong men’s basketball team, averaging 27.9 minutes per game, scoring 17.7 points, 11.7 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.3 blocks, with a field goal percentage of 63.1% and a three-point shooting percentage of 40.5%.

In the six playoff games he played for Guangdong last season, he averaged 26.3 minutes per game, scoring 16.2 points, 12 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks.

Zhou Qi, who is 28 years old this year, participated in the Asian Men’s Basketball Championship in 2015 and won the championship, helping the Chinese men’s basketball team secure a spot at the Rio Olympics. In 2018, he won the Asian Games championship with the Chinese men’s basketball Red Team. During the 2016-17 season, he helped Xinjiang win the CBA league championship and was named the best defensive player of the season.

In the 2019-20 season, Zhou Qi became the CBA’s best defensive player and was selected to the second-best lineup. In the 2020-21 season, Zhou Qi was selected to the first-best lineup of the CBA.

Chen Yingjun has played a total of 293 regular-season games and 16 playoff games for Guangzhou.

In the regular season, Chen Yingjun averaged 33.7 minutes per game, scoring 13.9 points, 3.7 rebounds, 6 assists, and 1.4 steals, with shooting percentages of 45%/36.7%/81%.

In the playoffs, he averaged 36.6 minutes per game, scoring 15.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 2.6 steals, with shooting percentages of 40.1%/30.1%/80.7%.
