NBA New Season Sees 20 Players' 2K Game Ratings Break 90; Doncic, Jokic, and Antetokounmpo Tied for First

August 27 News: The game NBA 2K25 is set to release in the early part of the month. Over the past few weeks, the latest in-game ratings for some players have been announced. In the new season, a total of 20 players have achieved a rating of 90 or higher.

The highest-rated players are Giannis Antetokounmpo (Bucks), Luka Doncic (Mavericks), and Nikola Jokic (Nuggets), all three with a rating of 97.

Second place goes to Joel Embiid (76ers) and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Thunder), both with a rating of 96.

Stephen Curry (Warriors), LeBron James (Lakers), and Jayson Tatum (Celtics) each have a rating of 95.

94 points: Anthony Davis (Lakers), Kevin Durant (Suns);

93 points: Devin Booker (Suns), Jalen Brunson (Knicks), Anthony Edwards (Timberwolves);

92 points: Jaylen Brown (Celtics), Kyrie Irving (Mavericks), Kawhi Leonard (Clippers), Donovan Mitchell (Cavaliers);

91 points: Victor Wembanyama (Spurs);

90 points: Tyrese Haliburton (Pacers), Ja Morant (Grizzlies).

Regarding these ratings, some industry insiders have stated that although Jokic’s score is tied with the league’s highest, he should be in a class of his own and not tied for first. Additionally, this rating underestimates Morant, who is expected to have a bounce-back season in Memphis. It’s also anticipated that Wembanyama’s rating will improve during the season as he continues to progress rapidly.
