On August 11, today’s Olympic women’s basketball final is between the U.S. and France.

The two teams were tied at 25 in the first half. At the start of the third quarter, led by Ayayi, the French women’s basketball team went on a 10-0 run to pull ahead, while the U.S. responded with an 8-0 run fueled by three-pointers. Wilson and Collier then scored consecutively to take the lead, while the French team missed multiple shots subsequently, with neither Williams nor Johannes able to score, allowing the U.S. women’s basketball team to establish a slight lead. Johannes stepped up, tying the game at 43 with a three-pointer. Wilson then made both free throws after drawing a foul.
