Today, according to Serbian journalist Misko Raznatovic, the American guard Edmond Sumner has signed with the Sichuan men’s basketball team.
Sumner is 28 years old this year, standing at 1.93 meters tall, and plays as a point guard. In the 2017 NBA draft, Sumner was selected 52nd overall by the New Orleans Pelicans and was then traded to the Indiana Pacers. He subsequently played in the NBA for six seasons, moving between the Indiana Pacers and the Brooklyn Nets, playing in 161 regular-season games with an average of 6.2 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game.
Last season, Sumner played in the Lithuanian league, averaging 6.9 points, 1.1 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game in the European basketball league.
