Shanxi Men’s Basketball Team Officially Signs Brandon Goodwin, Hamidou Diallo, and Four Other Foreign Players; Team Actively Preparing for the Season

On September 16, today @Shanxi Fenjiu Professional Basketball Club officially announced the signing of Goodwin, Diallo, and four other foreign players. The original announcement is as follows:

After negotiations and reaching an agreement with the players, Shanxi Fenjiu Professional Basketball Club has officially signed Brandon Goodwin, Ibrahima Fall Faye, Hamidou Diallo, and Ondrej Balvin. After submitting registration materials to the CBA (Chinese Basketball Association) and passing the review and public announcement process, these four foreign players will represent Shanxi Fenjiu men’s basketball team in the 2024-2025 CBA season.

Brandon Goodwin, born in 1995, is an American professional basketball player, standing at 1.83 meters tall, playing as a point guard. He has played for multiple teams in the NBA, including the Grizzlies, Nuggets, and Hawks. Goodwin is known for his quick penetration, strong scoring ability, and excellent passing and organizing skills, providing significant support on the offensive end.

Ibrahima Fall Faye, born in 1997, is a Senegalese player, standing at 2.09 meters tall, playing as a center. Last season in the French league, Faye averaged 12.2 points and 6.4 rebounds per game in 23.5 minutes of play, earning him the title of “Block King.” Faye possesses outstanding rim protection and inside offensive capabilities, and his addition significantly enhances the team’s frontcourt strength.

Hamidou Diallo, born in 1998, is an American professional basketball player, standing at 1.96 meters tall, playing as a shooting guard. In 2018, Diallo entered the NBA through the draft and has played for the Thunder and Pistons. In his NBA career, Diallo averages 8.6 points and 3.8 rebounds per game in 18.6 minutes of play. Known for his exceptional leaping ability, Diallo won the NBA All-Star Slam Dunk Contest in 2019. His outstanding wingspan and mobility make him capable of defending multiple positions effectively.

Ondrej Balvin, born in 1992, stands at 2.18 meters tall and is the starting center for the Czech national team. Balvin previously played for clubs in Serbia, Bayern Munich, and Gran Canaria in Europe. Last season, Balvin joined the Jiangsu Lions in the NBL League, averaging 20.9 points, 12.7 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks in 26 regular-season games, earning him the titles of “Rebound King” and “Block King” in the NBL.
