October 5 news, Bronny James is all set for his NBA preseason debut. As for the team’s rookies Dalton Knecht and Bronny, both are excited about their first experience with an NBA game. “Of course, I’m nervous too,” Bronny said. “Everything will be fine. But I’m just happy to get out there and learn from the guys playing in front of me. If I get a chance to show my skills, I’ll do my best.” Lakers’ first-round draft pick Knecht says he is focused on a simple job. “Ready to shoot, defend [and] rebound, basically just space the floor for players and be ready to score. Then it’s just defense and rebounding.” After three days of training, Bronny also enjoys working with new Lakers coach JJ Redick. “He’s a great coach,” Bronny said. “The atmosphere in the arena is fantastic, so I think the vibe here is better than last year.” Talking about playing with his father and his NBA debut, Bronny said, “I would say, for me, this is just about building confidence, competing at a higher level, going out, and getting into the practice. Making those shots means a lot, but it’s just scoring. There’s really no difference. Playing with my dad is a special experience, and I’m truly grateful.”
