McDaniels was born on September 29th, 2000, in Seattle, sharing the same birthday as his idol, Durant, and was selected by the Timberwolves as the 28th pick in the first round of the 2020 NBA Draft.
Currently, he is the core of the Timberwolves’ perimeter defense, known as one of the ’20 Stars’ alongside Edwards. Last season, he received his first honor, being named to the All-Defensive Second Team.
