In today’s NBA Finals Game 4, the Celtics suffered a blowout loss on the road to the Mavericks, evening the series at 3-1.
Philadelphia 76ers’ star center Embiid was a guest commentator for the game.
Prior to the match, ESPN reporter Malika Andrews asked, “Will the Celtics kick off a new dynasty and continue to win multiple championships?”
Embiid laughed and shook his head, saying, “I don’t think so. One reason is the new CBA (Collective Bargaining Agreement). Another reason is that everyone in the East, including myself, has been injured during the playoffs.”
Commentator A. Smith responded, “You should say they can’t build a dynasty because you’re still in Philadelphia, and they have to beat you first.”
Embiid added, “They know I’m here. Don’t forget, I’m the MVP. I just need a little more luck, and if I stay healthy, that’s all I need.”
