Joshua, Dubois Officially Announce Epic Clash

Today, former three-time world heavyweight champion Briton Anthony Joshua (28-3, 25 KOs) and current IBF heavyweight titlist Daniel Dubois (21-2, 20 KOs) officially announced their heavyweight showdown set for September 21st at Wembley Stadium in London, live on DAZN. If Joshua defeats Dubois, he will become a three-time world heavyweight champion.

Promoter Eddie Hearn said, “I mentioned on June 2nd that Joshua would fight Filip Hrgović (17-1, 14 KOs) for the IBF title before facing Dubois. Joshua is ready to fight anyone, and now two Brits will battle for the heavyweight crown in front of a crowd of 100,000 at Wembley. September 21st will be a significant day for British boxing. Now Joshua has the chance to become a three-time world champion, and every opponent he beats to become a champion will be an reigning titlist, not an interim one. I’ve always believed Joshua will reign supreme in the heavyweight division, and this is the first step towards his unification battles. Without a doubt, I’m confident Joshua will eventually unify the entire division.”

Before Joshua’s main event, former WBO super-welterweight champion Briton Liam Smith (33-4-1, 20 KOs) will face Josh Kelly (15-1-1, 8 KOs); current IBF/IBO super-featherweight champ British-Irishman Anthony Cacace (22-1, 8 KOs) will take on former two-time featherweight titlist Josh Warrington (31-3-1, 8 KOs); and British light-heavyweight prospect Joshua Buatsi (18-0, 13 KOs) will square off against compatriot Willy Hutchinson (18-1, 13 KOs) for the vacant WBO interim light-heavyweight title.
