Complexity Wins in Jönköping, Ending 14-Year Title Drought

Early this morning, Complexity swept Falcons with a 2-0 scoreline, securing the title at ECL Jönköping. The North American organization has finally ended its 14-year drought of winning offline tournament championships.

The last time Complexity claimed an offline event title was back in 2010 when, under Gabriel Toledo | FalleN’s leadership, their all-Brazilian roster triumphed over Evil Geniuses in the IEM V America Championship Finals in New York, during the CS 1.6 era. Since then, the team has made multiple appearances in CS:GO and CS iterations’ grand finals but always fell short.

Jonathan Jablonowski | EliGE played a pivotal role in Complexity’s victory, delivering the highest 1.47 rating on both closely contested maps (Vertigo 13:10, Nuke 13:9) and averaging a 1.34 rating across the tournament, ranking third overall, only behind Senzu (1.40) and dupreeh (1.37).

This marks EliGE’s first offline tournament victory since IEM Chicago.

Despite the loss, Falcons still secured their spot in EPL S20, as Complexity had already qualified through the Louvre Agreement slot.
