BLAST Fall Series Group Stage Matchups and Opening Fixtures Announced: G2 to Face NIP

The opening fixtures of the BLAST Fall Series will see G2 take on NIP.

In addition, Astralis’ first match will be against Falcons.

BLAST recently announced the groupings and opening fixtures for the BLAST Fall Series, which is set to take place from July 29 to August 4.

A total of 16 teams are participating, divided into four groups. The top team from each group will advance to the Fall Finals, while the second-placed teams will compete for the last two qualifying spots. Teams that do not advance will drop down to the Fall Showdown.

The teams in Group A are as follows:

Group A includes Spirit, currently ranked number one in the world, who will face OG. The other two teams are also among the Top 10 teams globally.

The teams in Group B are as follows:

Astralis

Falcons

GamerLegion

Leading Group B are Vitality and Astralis. The matchup between Falcons and Astralis has a new versus old A-team feel, while GL’s offline debut comes after bringing in ztr.

Aside from FaZe and NIP, all other teams in Group C have undergone roster changes during the offseason. It remains to be seen if FaZe can reverse their downward trend from the latter half of the previous year.

In Group D, both Liquid and BIG feature new rosters. Particularly noteworthy are the performances of jks and ultimate. As for BIG, they have brought in rifler rigoN, and they will face NAVI in their first match.
