ECL S47 Asia-Pacific: TYLOO Defeats QUBE 2-0



In the ESL Challenger League S47 Asia-Pacific playoffs, TYLOO faced The QUBE. After a best-of battle, TYLOO dominated on The QUBE’s map choice, Inferno, with a scoreline of 13-4. On their own map pick, they narrowly triumphed with a 13-10 victory.

Map 1: Inferno

The QUBE started as the attackers and lost the pistol round, then attempted a force buy on B site but fell short against k4Mi, though they managed to plant the bomb. In the third round, they again attempted a force buy but failed to overcome TYLOO, leading to an eco. Despite a strong effort in the long gun rounds, The QUBE couldn’t turn the tide against TYLOO’s hot form, allowing TYLOO to widen the gap. At halftime, TYLOO led 11-1.

In the second half, TYLOO took the offensive side and secured a quadruple kill from moseyuh in the pistol round. The QUBE fought back, scoring three points, but TYLOO sealed the deal, winning Map 1 13-4.

Map 2: Mirage

On TYLOO’s map pick, they began as attackers and lost the pistol round. However, a failed force buy by TYLOO in the following round resulted in a 4-0 scoreline for The QUBE. In the long gun rounds, TYLOO secured the first kill and swiftly attacked A site for a clean victory, stretching their lead. The QUBE only managed to secure their fifth point in Round 11 thanks to Tugu- and Holy’s performances.

In the second half, The QUBE also failed to win the pistol round and struggled to find an effective attacking strategy, allowing TYLOO to lead 11-5. The QUBE mounted a valiant effort, scoring two more points, but ultimately succumbed to JamYoung’s prowess, losing the match point. TYLOO clinched victory on Map 2 with a score of 13-10.
