Starting June 23, 2024 Euro Cup enters its third round of group matches. UEFA has decided to eliminate afternoon matches (previously at 21:00 local time) to ensure simultaneous kick-offs within groups. Now, only evening slots at 18:00 and 21:00 (0:00 and 03:00 UTC+1) remain. The final will take place on July 15 at 03:00 AM.
Four groups (A, B, D, F) will have their matches at 21:00 local, which means eight games, accessible to Chinese viewers only at 03:00 AM; the remaining two groups (C, E) will play at midnight.
In the knockout stages, both quarterfinals and semifinals will feature multiple sessions. Notably, Spain and Portugal, already confirmed as group leaders, will have their Round of 16 matches at 03:00 AM. Both the semi-finals and the final will also be held at this same time, leaving Chinese fans with no choice but to stay up late for the grand spectacle.
