June 24th – According to a UEFA official correspondent, Spain may field an entirely different starting eleven in their final group match against Albania. This move comes after defensive midfielder Rodri, who picked up yellow cards in the first two group games, will automatically miss this fixture.
With Carvajal and Lenoir-Mouryon also at risk of suspension in the round of 16 due to a yellow card received against Italy, they might not feature in the starting lineup for this game.
The predicted Spanish team lineup for today: (Formation: 4-3-3)
Goalkeeper: David Raya
Defenders: Navas, Dani Vivian, Laporte, Grimaldo
Midfielders: Merino, Zubimendi, Olmo
Forwards: Ferran Torres, Joselu, Oyarzabal
The starting eleven from the previous match against Italy was: Unai Simon; Carvajal, Lenoir-Mouryon, Laporte, Cucurella; Pedri, Rodri, Fabian Ruiz; Yarmolenko, Morata, Nico Williams
Only one player (Laporte) is expected to retain his place from the previous starting line-up.
