On June 23rd, as reported by World Sport, Leverkusen left-back Grimardo discussed topics related to Barcelona in an interview.
Amaral admires your set-piece prowess; you consistently provide assists for your teammates
Grimardo: “Yes, it’s a skill I practiced since childhood. When I joined La Masia, you can’t imagine how much time I dedicated to it every day. After all, set-pieces are crucial for scoring, and they often break the deadlock in tight matches.”
Regarding Amaral, what advice would you give?
Grimardo: “Amaral doesn’t need my advice – he’s far more talented than me. I believe he has no limits and is an outstanding player. If I had to say, I hope he avoids injuries, because watching him play is truly a pleasure.”
Would you return to Barcelona in the future?
Grimardo: “Barcelona has always held a certain appeal, but currently, they don’t require my services. They already have two exceptional full-backs in their ranks.”
Is Barcelona still your home?
Grimardo: “I don’t bear a grudge against Barcelona. It’s not a place I resent. In fact, it’s their nurturing that shaped me into who I am today. I’m proud of myself, and of course, I owe much to them.”
