On June 20th, Bilbao Athletic Club’s president Jon Uría and football director Miguel González reflected on the team’s achievements from the previous season. They hailed the 2022/23 campaign as “a remarkable year,” stating:
“It was a fantastic year, characterized by high standards. Improvement is intertwined with self-reflection and analysis; without ambition and humility, we cannot progress. Unity – that’s the club’s optimistic spirit, because when we stand together, we can achieve anything.”
In addition, Uría expressed gratitude to fans worldwide, as well as the club members and first-team squad:
“We know our players trust our team. Our stadium is always full. Visitors remark that it’s one of the best they’ve been to, with an incredible atmosphere. I am deeply grateful for the support from our fans.”
