Foden the Fisherman Goes Online During Euro Cup! Dodging Criticism, Believes England Will Top GroupFoden, who faced scrutiny during the first two rounds of the Euro Cup, found solace in fishing at the England team’s training base to escape external doubts. Fishing is a significant leisure activity for Foden, and in an interview, he expressed his unwavering belief that this is the most technically proficient England squad ever.

Foden previously shared that he developed a love for fishing at six years old, under the influence of his father. On a holiday in Spain, he even caught a 130-pound catfish.

Despite England’s 1-1-0 record in the group stage, Foden’s performance has been subject to criticism. To deflect the negativity, Foden chose fishing as a way to relax within the team’s facility, stating, “Whenever I have time, I go fishing – it’s a great feeling. I’ve caught some beautiful fish. There are many leisure options here, like darts and basketball. Staying focused is crucial, and I try to maintain that focus.”

Foden disclosed that there’s plenty to do within the team’s base, preventing him from being cooped up in his room. “We’re a fantastic team, united together, and our short-term goal is to top the group and advance. We’ve had a decent start with four points from two games, but we have high expectations. This might be the most technically gifted England team I’ve seen, and our training standards are excellent. I’m delighted to contribute as much as possible to the team,” he said.
