Jeddah United Chairman Nasser has confirmed through renowned journalist Romano that the team’s manager, Gallardo, has been dismissed.
Nasser stated, “Gallardo made a serious error by asking Benzema to leave. That was unacceptable. Benzema is an integral part of Saudi football and the club’s project. As for the new manager, we have 2-3 candidates in mind.”
Jeddah United won the Saudi Pro League title last season. Gallardo took over from Portuguese coach Nuno as the team’s new manager in November, but this season, they finished fifth in the league.
