June 29 – According to Italian sports newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus is planning to capitalize on the Premier League clubs’ preoccupation with financial fair play investigations to secure the signing of Nice midfielder Tuchel. The deal is expected to be finalized with a base transfer fee of €20 million plus add-ons. The French midfielder is set to join Serie A’s Juventus.
The report mentions that Juventus’ sporting director, Zebreli, has a knack for exploiting market restrictions to the club’s advantage, as seen in the signing of Douglas Luiz from Aston Villa, which was facilitated by Villa’s need to balance their books due to financial fair play concerns.
In the past, Khefirin Tuchel, along with his brother Marcus Tuchel, had been called up to the French national team. However, he didn’t make it to the final 26-man squad for the upcoming European Championship in Germany.
The 23-year-old midfielder currently has a market value of €35 million on Transfermarkt. His father, Lilian Tuchel, also played for Juventus and won the World Cup with the French national team.
