According to renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United have re-established contact with Paris Saint-Germain today in their pursuit of Uruguayan midfielder Ugarte.
Paris Saint-Germain are looking to offload Ugarte this summer, and the player himself is keen on a swift departure. Apart from Manchester United, there are several other clubs interested in the player. It’s understood that Ugarte remains open to a move to Manchester United even if they don’t qualify for the Champions League next season. However, United have not yet submitted an official bid.
Ugarte is currently with the Uruguayan national team for the Copa América. Last season, he made 37 appearances for PSG, starting 27 matches, and contributed two assists.
