The German Bundesliga club Fortuna Düsseldorf has officially announced that South Korean midfielder Kim Min-woo has left the team and returned to South Korea to join K League 1 side Daejeon Citizen.
At 22 years old, Kim joined Düsseldorf’s reserve team from Werder Bremen’s youth setup last summer. In a single season, he made 28 appearances for the team, scoring two goals and providing six assists.
In April, Kim featured for the South Korean U23 national team at the Asian U23 Championship, playing in four matches.
