July 3rd – According to the official referee appointments for the Euros, Anthony Taylor will take charge of the quarter-final match between Spain and Germany, while Michael Oliver will referee the other high-profile clash between Portugal and France.
Both referees from the English Premier League will play a decisive role in the outcomes of these two powerhouses’ encounters.
Taylor has refereed two group stage matches in this tournament, namely Netherlands vs France and Belgium vs Ukraine, both ending in goalless draws. Meanwhile, Oliver has officiated the Round of 16 fixture Germany vs Denmark, as well as Slovakia vs Ukraine and Spain vs Croatia, with results of 2-0, 1-2, and 3-0 respectively.
