According to several Italian media outlets, including Gazzetta dello Sport, the race for Bologna defender Riccardo Calafiori is intensifying this summer, with Premier League clubs Arsenal and Chelsea emerging as the main contenders.
The 22-year-old Calafiori’s impressive performances in the Euros have caught the attention of several top clubs. Juventus, also from Serie A, had shown interest, but reports suggest that Bologna is reluctant to sell him to a domestic rival, making the English clubs favorites for his signature.
It is believed that Bologna is demanding a transfer fee around €50 million for Calafiori. There are also reports that Arsenal has already submitted a bid of €47 million for the player.
