On July 15th, Arsenal officially announced that 24-year-old midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga has joined La Liga side Sevilla on a season-long loan.
It is understood that the 24-year-old Belgian player, Albert Sambi Lokonga, joined Arsenal in 2021 and had made 39 appearances for the team prior to this. For the 2023-24 season, Lokonga was loaned out to Luton Town where he contributed with one goal and three assists. His contract with Arsenal expires in 2026.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the buyout fee for Lokonga stands at €12 million, and Sevilla will cover his wages. Should Sevilla trigger the buyout clause, Arsenal will also be entitled to 25% of any future resale profit.
