Sold for Too Little? Dortmund CEO: Real Madrid Paid 135 Million Euros for Bellingham, We Should Have Asked for More

On July 12, Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke recently discussed the transfer of Jude Bellingham, confirming that Real Madrid has already paid 135 million euros for the transfer.

Last summer, Bellingham moved from Dortmund to Real Madrid, with a fixed transfer fee of 103 million euros plus a 30% variable bonus clause. Last season, Bellingham made 42 appearances for Real Madrid, contributing 23 goals and 13 assists, and helped the team win La Liga, the Spanish Super Cup, and the UEFA Champions League.

Watzke confirmed that Real Madrid has already paid the additional bonus clause, and jokingly remarked that Dortmund should have set a higher price.
