On July 17th, Southampton announced officially that the 25-year-old midfielder, Downs, has joined the club on a permanent transfer.
Last season, he joined the Saints on loan, making 37 appearances, scoring 2 goals and providing 3 assists, helping the team return to the Premier League.
It is understood that Downs joined West Ham from Swansea in 2022, making 35 appearances for the club across all competitions, including 11 Europa Conference League appearances, and won the Europa Conference League title with the team.
