The A-League’s Melbourne City Football Club has officially announced the signing of Argentine defender Ferrera.
The 28-year-old Ferrera came through the youth ranks at Club Atlético Talleres and has been capped by Argentina’s U20 national team. Over the past three seasons, Ferrera played for Russian club Yenisey Krasnoyarsk in the FNL, making a total of 85 appearances, scoring 4 goals, and providing 4 assists. At the end of the season, his contract with the team expired, making him a free agent.
Ferrera will sign a two-year deal with Melbourne City. Following the departures of players like Good, he is expected to become a regular starter in central defense for the new season.
