Recently, Brazilian youngster Endrick, who is set to join Real Madrid, gave an exclusive interview to France’s L’Équipe newspaper. In the interview, Endrick discussed his early ties with Real Madrid and topics related to his new teammates at the club.
Connection with Real Madrid from Childhood
Endrick: The story between me and Real Madrid started even before I was born. My dad wanted to name me Di Stéfano, but my mom wouldn’t allow it.
About Mbappé
Endrick: I like Mbappé’s right-footed shots, where he fakes opening up his foot but then locks his ankle at the last second. He has scored goals like that against teams like Bayern Munich and Real Madrid. The defenders know what he’s going to do, but they can’t do anything about it. Mbappé is coming, and having him on our team feels like playing a video game.
About Future Real Madrid Teammates
Endrick: I’ve already been to Madrid twice. I visited the Bernabéu, met Ancelotti, and saw some of my future teammates. I’ve spoken with Camavinga and Tchouaméni, both young and cool guys. It’s great knowing I’ll soon be training with them. When I arrived in Madrid, Vinícius helped me get settled here, he’s an outstanding player.
In addition, Endrick added: On the pitch, when you have Mbappé’s speed, Vinícius’ dribbling, Rodrygo’s talent, Bellingham’s inspiration, Modrić’s technique… it all blends together perfectly. I look forward to making history at Real Madrid.
