The J.League club, Sapporo Consadole, has officially announced the signing of Spanish forward Jodi Sanchez.
The 29-year-old Jodi Sanchez, a product of Barcelona’s youth academy, subsequently played for several lower-tier clubs in Spain. Over the past two seasons, he was with Polish Ekstraklasa side Wiedźminy Łódź, where last season he made 31 appearances, scoring 8 goals and providing 5 assists in the Polish league. At the end of the season, his contract expired, making him a free agent.
In the current J.League standings, Sapporo Consadole has only accumulated 11 points, ranking at the bottom of the table, 12 points behind the safety zone. The team hopes that Sanchez’s arrival will effectively strengthen their attack and help them achieve relegation survival.
