On July 12th, according to a report by Bild, the new season of the Bundesliga will adopt the Euro rules where only the team captain can communicate with the referee on the pitch.
It is understood that during this year’s Euro tournament, a new rule was introduced whereby only the team captain can discuss penalty issues with the main referee on the field, in order to prevent players from gathering and causing conflicts.
At the German Football Association meeting held on Thursday of this week, this rule was approved. It will be introduced into the new season of the Bundesliga, and moreover, the second-tier Bundesliga, third-tier Bundesliga, and regional leagues in Germany will also use this rule.
