According to multiple Japanese media reports today, the promoted Premier League team is interested in signing Celtic’s Japanese international Kyogo Furuhashi.
Kyogo Furuhashi, who can play in several positions, joined Celtic from Kawasaki Frontale in the winter transfer window of 2022. To date, he has made a total of 87 appearances for the club, scoring 16 goals and providing 19 assists, helping the team win multiple titles.
Furuhashi’s contract with Celtic is due to expire in the summer of 2028. However, several teams are reportedly interested in signing the Japanese international this summer. It is understood that earlier this month, Russian Premier League giants Zenit St Petersburg made an offer, which was rejected by Celtic. Now, Leicester City has also joined the race to sign him, but as of yet, the Foxes have not submitted an official bid to Celtic.
