On August 3, Chinese athlete Xie Zhenye competed in the first round of the men’s 100 meters at the Paris Olympics.
Xie Zhenye was in lane seven of heat three and finished with a time of 10.16 seconds, placing him fourth in his group.
According to the competition rules, the top three athletes from each group and the next three fastest overall advance to the semifinals. Based on the total results, Xie Zhenye missed out on advancing by just 0.001 seconds.
