On July 22, according to UK media The Mirror, Manchester City is considering a £68 million move for Crystal Palace midfielder Ebere Eze.
The report states that Manchester City is weighing its options in case Kevin De Bruyne leaves the club. It’s understood that Al-Ittihad Jeddah has offered a lucrative contract to the 33-year-old De Bruyne. As such, the team is interested in bringing in Crystal Palace player Ebere Eze, despite interest from Tottenham Hotspur as well.
However, should Manchester City continue their pursuit, the North Londoners would be unable to stop the player from succumbing to the allure of the Etihad. Manchester City have long admired Eze, who still has three years left on his contract with Crystal Palace, which includes a release clause of £60 million plus add-ons.
Last season, despite an injury-interrupted campaign, he still managed to perform impressively for Crystal Palace, scoring 11 goals and providing four assists.
