The latest from Sky Sports is that Paris Saint-Germain have held preliminary talks with Manchester United over the signing of forward Jadon Sancho.
The discussions have involved potential terms of a deal, with Sancho potentially open to a move and personal terms not expected to be an issue.
Conversations between the two clubs are ongoing, having also discussed matters regarding Umtiti this summer. Manchester United remain interested in Umtiti but will not meet Paris Saint-Germain’s asking price.
Manchester United are aware that Paris Saint-Germain wish to conclude a deal for Umtiti, as they have just signed midfielder João Neves from Benfica for £50 million, and Umtiti himself wishes to move to Old Trafford.
In line with Manchester United’s transfer strategy this summer, they are also monitoring several other midfielders, including Youssouf Fofana of Monaco, Zubimendi of Real Sociedad, Sofyan Amrabat of Fiorentina, and Josh Cullen of Burnley.
If Manchester United are to bring in a midfielder in the transfer market, they must first free up space in their squad, with McTominay being one of their targets for departure. Fulham are deciding whether to make another attempt to sign McTominay after having two bids rejected by Manchester United previously.
