According to Japanese media personality Marco Molla, Hiroshima Striker Yuki Ohhashi is on the verge of joining English Championship side Blackburn.
The 27-year-old Ohhashi, who moved from Shonan Bellmare to Hiroshima this season, has made 22 league appearances for the team so far, scoring 10 goals and providing four assists.
Despite Hiroshima’s desire to retain Ohhashi, his strong wish to play abroad means the club has had to let him go. It is understood that Ohhashi’s transfer fee is 200 million yen (approximately one million pounds), and he will sign a two-year contract with Blackburn. The deal is expected to be officially announced soon.
