Argentine media El Grafico reports that World Cup champion member Pezzella is set to return to his former club River Plate.
According to reports, River Plate will pay a release clause of 4 million euros to bring the 33-year-old defender back to the team, and they will sign a contract running until December 2027. Pezzella will become the first player from the 2022 World Cup winning squad to return to play in Argentina.
Although River Plate has not officially announced it yet, Pezzella himself has already hinted at it on his personal social media, with an official announcement expected soon.
