Mirror: De Bruyne Stays at Man City for Another Year for Family, Rejects Saudi Million-Pound Weekly Contract

The Mirror reports that 33-year-old De Bruyne, after discussing with his family, has decided to play at least one more year at Manchester City.

It is understood that Getafe United’s manager Blanc is very confident in the club’s chances of signing De Bruyne, as they have offered him a huge contract worth a million pounds per week. De Bruyne, considering his eldest son Mason Milian’s school transfer, decided with his wife Michele to stay for at least another year.

In an interview with Belgian newspaper HLN in June this year, De Bruyne also hinted at a possible move to Saudi Arabia: “At my age, you have to be open to everything. The kind of money you’re talking about could be the end of my career. Sometimes you have to consider that. If I played there for two years, I could earn more than I did in the previous 15 years of my career.”
