Famous German Sky journalist Florian Plettenberg has revealed that Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain are pursuing Frankfurt defender Willian Pacho and have already started negotiations.
Plettenberg points out: “Paris is very interested in Willian Pacho, and talks have begun. Frankfurt has been informed that Paris Saint-Germain wants to sign him. The 22-year-old Frankfurt defender is also open to a transfer.”
The 22-year-old Willian Pacho is an Ecuador international. In January 2022, he transferred from the Ecuadorian league to Antwerp in Belgium, where he won the Belgian league and the Belgian Cup with his team. In July 2023, he moved to Bundesliga side Frankfurt from the Belgian league for a transfer fee of 9 million euros, signing a contract until June 2028.
Last season at Frankfurt, Pacho played in 33 Bundesliga matches, 8 Europa League matches (including qualifiers), and 3 DFB-Pokal games, totaling 3,939 minutes on the pitch, with two assists. Additionally, Pacho is an Ecuador international, having made 15 appearances for the South American national team and being included in the squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar (though he did not play).
Pacho stands 1.87 meters tall and primarily plays as a central defender but can also play as a full-back. Currently, his valuation on Transfermarkt is 35 million euros.
