Recently, former Manchester United star Wayne Rooney discussed his weight loss tricks during his playing days in an interview. Due to often exceeding his weight during off-seasons due to lack of self-discipline, he needed some extreme methods to help him pass the pre-season weigh-in tests.
In the interview, Rooney said, “I used to hate pre-season because I would always come back from the off-season six or seven pounds overweight. I had to make some effort to get back on track.”
Manchester United legend Gary Neville then mentioned that he would do some light exercise during the off-season, but Rooney responded that he did absolutely no training, which shocked those present.
Rooney continued, “The day before reporting for the pre-season camp, I would ride a fitness bike in the sauna. Honestly, on that evening, I would sit in the sauna for 90 minutes fully dressed. I wouldn’t eat anything, and I wouldn’t drink anything.”
