According to renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano, João Neves will swap clubs with Sanches, with the transfer set to be completed within days.
Romano posted on social media: “Not only will João Neves’ move to Paris Saint-Germain be completed within days, but Benfica are also close to signing Sanches, whose agent is involved in João Neves’ transfer.”
The 26-year-old Sanches joined PSG in the summer of 2022 but was loaned out to Roma for the 2023/24 season. Hindered by injuries and form, Sanches made just 12 appearances for Roma last season, scoring only one goal.
