In the podcast “Einfach mal Luppen,” recently retired German midfielder Kroos shared anecdotes about his former teammate and German football legend Kahn.
Kroos, who had played alongside Kahn at Bayern Munich, revealed, “In his final year of his career, Kahn was completely absorbed in golf. He would always stand in front of the mirror, and I wondered what he was doing—it turned out he was practicing his swing.”
“He would train with goalkeeping coach Meyer for half an hour on saves, and then they would go off to play golf—for four hours straight.” Kroos cheekily added, “Sorry, Oliver! Still, he was a great player.”
