Lucas, a former professional athlete with dual Argentine and Italian nationality, transitioned into coaching after his playing career and has extensive experience as a coach for professional football teams. Prior to joining Shenzhen New Pengcheng, Lucas served as head coach at Club Atlético Torque in Montevideo, Uruguay, which is part of the City Football Group. Additionally, Lucas has coaching experience in Argentina, Mexico, and with the youth national team of Qatar.
