According to Every Sports, Barcelona has rejected Lazio’s offer of €20 million to purchase a 50% stake in Rócke.
Barcelona’s stance is clear: they will not register Rócke and are determined to offload the Brazilian player this summer. However, offers for Rócke have been few and far between, and negotiations with Lazio seem close to breaking down.
Previously, Il Romanista reported that Lazio was willing to pay €20 million for 50% of the player’s rights. But according to Every Sports, Barcelona only accepts a permanent transfer with full payment of €40 million, which Lazio cannot afford.
The offer from Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr is still on the table, and Barcelona hopes to force the player’s hand after their U.S. tour, as it would provide significant financial support to the club. By selling Rócke, the club can recoup its investment and gain an unexpected profit, given that the Brazilian is not part of Flick’s plans.
Rócke personally prefers to stay in Europe and is open to joining Lazio. Barcelona has also received loan proposals for Rócke, but the club currently prioritizes a permanent transfer. Porto is waiting in the wings, and Real Betis has shown interest, but both are only willing to cover the player’s wages for one season and include a non-compulsory purchase option in any loan deal.
