According to The Mail, 13 players including Sterling, Lukaku, Chilwell, Kepa, and Chalobah have been asked not to train with Chelsea’s first team.
Chelsea originally spent a combined £270 million to sign Sterling, Lukaku, Chilwell, and Kepa. Now, these four players share a similar fate at Chelsea, all being relegated to the ‘Bomb Squad.’ This group consists of all 13 players who are not part of new manager Maresca’s plans for the new season and are training in a separate group led by Cudicini.
In addition to the aforementioned five, the other eight players are David Fofana, Angelo, Beristeen, Davide Washington, Tino Anjorin, Alex Matos, Harvey Vale, and Broja (who is set to join Ipswich on loan).
This group includes veterans, newcomers, established figures, and those just starting out. They can use the club’s training facilities but live in a separate building within Cobham Base.
