On August 30th, the Champions League draw concluded. Inter Milan’s head coach, Inzaghi Jr., spoke about the draw, stating that they are prepared to face all the giants and hope that the Nerazzurri can once again become the main character in the Champions League.
In the first phase, Inter Milan will face opponents including Leipzig (home), Manchester City (away), Arsenal (home), Bayer Leverkusen (away), Red Star (home), Young Boys (away), Monaco (home), and Sparta Prague (away).
Inzaghi Jr. said about the new season’s Champions League: “The Champions League is always a prestigious event, and we hope to be the main characters in this competition once again. Our schedule will be very tight, but just like in the past, the team is ready to face all the giants. Over the years, our matches against various top teams have made us well aware of our own strength. We’ve played some good games against the giants from other leagues, and I believe my players will continue to perform at this level.”
In the 2022-23 season, Inter reached the Champions League final but lost to Manchester City, finishing as runners-up. In the 2023-24 season, Inter advanced to the round of sixteen but was eliminated by Atlético Madrid in a penalty shootout.
