Naples star David Neres was subjected to vehicle damage and an armed robbery following his team’s 2-1 victory over Parma.
The Sarda United newspaper reported that these motorcycle-riding thieves threatened Neres with a gun as he was getting out of his car, leaving him no choice but to hand over his watch. The thieves then brazenly fled the scene, preventing Neres from meeting fans outside the stadium. Fortunately, the couple was not injured, and video footage shows them entering a hotel under security escort.
The crime has been reported to Italian police, and a shaken Neres was welcomed by fans waiting for him at the Grand Park Hotel in Naples.
Neres’ wife wrote on social media: “Neres wants to apologize to the fans who were waiting for him outside. After the match, when they tried to leave the stadium, two men on motorcycles smashed his car and threatened him with a gun during a robbery.”
