Lewandowski: Looking Forward to Champions League Clash with Bayern and Dortmund, We Are Not the Same Barcelona as Two Years Ago

On September 4, Lewandowski spoke about the new season’s Champions League, expressing excitement about Barcelona’s matches against Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, and stated that the team will not repeat the mistake of being double-killed by Bayern two years ago.

In this season’s Champions League schedule, Barcelona will face off against two major Bundesliga teams, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund. Notably, Barcelona will play at home against Bayern on October 24 at 3 AM, and away against Dortmund on December 12 at 4 AM. It’s worth mentioning that Lewandowski has played for both of these Bundesliga teams before.

Lewandowski said, “I am very much looking forward to the clashes with Bayern and Dortmund, especially the match against Bayern will be different from two years ago; we will not be casually trampled by our opponents.”

In the 2022-23 Champions League season, Barcelona was grouped with Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, and Viktoria Plzeň in Group C. Ultimately, Barcelona was double-killed by Bayern and only managed to finish third in the group, failing to advance.

To date, Barcelona has risen again, achieving a clean sweep in the first four rounds of La Liga and leading the league table with a four-point advantage.
