Toney completed his transfer on the Premier League summer window deadline day last week, becoming a member of Al Ittihad Jeddah, and with bonuses included in the contract, Toney’s weekly salary will approach £1 million.

It is understood that Toney remains optimistic about his future with the national team, believing he can still be selected for the England squad.

Due to focusing on handling the transfer matters, Toney did not participate in Brentford’s new season matches, nor was he able to maintain full attendance at team training sessions, which naturally led to him not being included in Lee Carsley’s latest squad list for England.

However, with only Harry Kane and Ollie Watkins as dedicated forwards in the latest Three Lions squad, Toney remains within close observation by the England coaching staff.
